Power dynamics are found in every human relationship. That's right, nothing too profound yet! And even though everyone knows that these dynamics exist, very little is ever questioned regarding how those dynamics form or how to change them once they are firmly established.

In our professional lives these unwritten rules of behavior rarely pose a problem since they are often dictated by convention.

Hugging, caressing, kissing...These things are done as a warm-up to more profound sexual festivities, Right? But these things are also done for the sake of just doing them...Right? If you answered yes to both questions, you can stop reading now. Congratulations, you must have perfect relationships.

For the rest of us, I'd like to clear up a few things about affectionate acts.
